Thanks to the good friend of people that don't know much "empirical
debugging", I've ascertained that replacing &_PATH_LOG with "/dev/log", all
is well. If anyone can replicate that bug in perl 5.6 Sys:Syslog package,
and could be arsed to post a bug, fire away.
