Vincent Cunniffe's [vincent at cunniffe.net] 20 lines of dribble included:
:>While running an intensive series of scripts, I came across the
:>following error :
:>
:>Can't reopen pipe to command substitution (fd 4): No child processes
:>
:>This occurred once during what must have been several hundred thousand
:>process invocations, in which pipes occurred maybe once every ten
:>invocations.
:>
:>Anyone come across it before? I suspect it was a random hiccup, but
:>it would be nice to know.

Bash bug IIRC. If you're using bash for these scripts, then you should prolly
upgrade, if you're not, I dunno. I'm pretty sure I remember some guy with the
same problem posting to the kernel list trying to say it was a kernel bug ;)
Regards,
Phil.
