 Could be a termcap thing. I've never seen the problem. I've just got
TERM=xterm in gnome-terminal, and it works fine...if you aren't happy, you
could try 1.3.16 or something - I'm using it because of much better IMAP
support & loving it.

 Big stick of solder, and a blowlamp. Solder rocks. 

 While we are on the subject - anyone know how to avoid twisting a knee ?
Last week I twisted it playing stag wrestling, and made it worse on sunday
doing a spear charge on a viking shield wall. I think I was just running,
but it still hurts.
