[ILUG] kernel upgrade

[ILUG] kernel upgrade

Robert Elliott robert at itg.ie

Hi, all
I've decided I need a 2.4 kernel; I'm getting sick of 2.2.16 leaking all
over the place. However, the README suggests using gcc 2.91.66; I can't
find this on ftp.gnu.org . I'm pretty certain that RH7.0's 2.96 isn't
the way to go, so it looks like it'll have to be 2.95.2, even though the
README suggests there may be problems. Anyone encountered hassle with
this version, or have a suggestion as to which compiler I should use?
