Of course it does - DHCP binds an IP address to the MAC address of the
interface for as long as the lease time is set for... there's your first
clue.

and there's your second clue.

Just find the machine with that MAC address, and Bob's yr mother's
brother.. although, as the fella says, "if it ain't broke.." yadda yadda
yadda.
