[ILUG] fetchmail newbie question

Declan,

I use fetchmail to collect POP3 mail aswell - I was getting the exact same
error message when I started using it. I got around it by specifying the
protocol in the command as follows:
	fetchmail -p POP3 <mail.server>
That sorted everything for me. Hope it helps you.
