Subject: [ILUG] Inspiron

AFAIR some of you have Dell Inspiron notebooks. Is everything Linux usable
e.g. built-in NIC, modem, sound, video ? Quick answers appreciated - I'd
like to order one today if I can and if it's suitable.

Don't know about the Inspiron, but I'm running Linux on a Dell Latitude CPx.
RH7 picks up everything apart from the sound (no drivers), but does pick up
the Xircom Cardbus modem/nic.
Suse 7.1 does it all including the sound, but I've only tried the live-eval.

	Hope this helps

	Eamonn
