I probably didn't make it clear: I refuse to install proprietary
software because it is proprietary, not because of conerns over
stability or secret NSA backdoors.
Playing derivative proprietary FPS games at high frame rates is not a
requirement for my "main machine". In fact, 3D isn't, full stop. My
requirements are more along the lines of plenty of disk and RAM and a
nice screen. CPU is less important; I won't be building Mozilla on
this thing. Not often, anyway.
