Hi,
I layed my hands on a creative labs webcam 3 some time ago.
I posted a message to this list asking if anybody had any
luck with it. Some people responded saying that they hadn't.
I got it working quite well and I thought i'd post what i did.
Basically, all you have to do is get a 2.4 kernel.
compile in usb support, the usb-uhci controller and the ov511 module.
load these modules in this order:
usbcore
usb-uhci
ov511
The webcam is then a video4linux device and you can
use any of the many v4l tools to interface with it.
e.g. gqcam, webcam etc.
