[ILUG] misbehaving RH7.0 after installation.

[ILUG] misbehaving RH7.0 after installation.

Hi, and thanks to those who helped try to sort out the installation problems
last week. (Faulty processor chip was the problem!).

Now, having installed RH7.0, some wacky things are happening. In a terminal
window, and in password entry windows, the backspace and delete keys don't
work. A hint on the 'net suggested that control +h and +? perform the
function, but that is a pain. Advice to use the stty command led nowhere.
Anyone got any ideas?

Better still, could someone help replace this with any version of Linux as a
file server in our small office, in return for whatever of a legal nature
might be appropriate? I don't have any allegiance to RH, but certainly don't
want to contemplate NT at all at all.

Feel free to call me office hours on 1850 52-52-53 if you can help. (you can
tell I'm on my knees, can't you?)

Pearse Stokes
