In the (new) thread on RH7.1 on slashdot, someone from redhat says that since
they've moved to a 2.4 kernel, the kgcc reliance is gone since the kernel code
that was incorrect for the newer compiler has been revised to be valid, and
thus the compiler lets it yield correct code.
