[ILUG] [OT]short python question...

[ILUG] [OT]short python question...

hello,

I'm reading up on python (among other things) at the
moment. In a tutorial from linuxplanet.com, the author
explains how he set up a ranking system with python
scripts. In his example he places the file on his
webserver as a .pl file. I thought this was a perl file.
Is it not?

I'd appreciate it if someone could explain to me.

tia,
shane

PS the webdev list seems a bit dead lately, is it down?
maybe it's my subscription, dunno.
