it'd be something like:
php3_magic_quotes_gpc off (for php3)
or
php_admin_value magic_quotes_gpc off (for php4)
Would go in your .htaccess file...
I haven't tested the above because i never had the need
to turn them off, they're actually quite useful :-)
You also may not be allowed change the settings in a .htaccess
it depends on your apache setup.
