please try to limit line length to 80 chars.  thanks.

then try it out at each step till it works.  i'd go in this manner till
i hit a problem:

jpeg
.jpeg
.jpeg$
\.jpeg$
\.(jpeg)$
\.(jpeg|gif)$

if any of those cause problems, then you'll know exactly where the
problem is.
