Hi,
I have the following test network.
Windows 2000 Professional---------- ws1.test.local
Windows 2000 Server --------------- dc.test.local
Linux Red Hat 6.1 Workstation------ linux.test.local
The Windows 2000 Server is running DNS, DHCP and Active
Directory.
The Linux Workstation is configured for DHCP and receives
the IP address OK. DNS with Linux is a problem even though
I have set the IP address of DNS on the Linux box.
I can ping ws1.test.local and dc.test.local without any problem
from any machine however I cannot ping linux.test.local at all.
I can however ping the IP address of the Linux box.
I would appreciate if anyone could offer help on this problem.
