If you put in "mem=256M", Linux will enable a special mode where each
group of four 4K pages is compressed into a pair of pages. It slows
things down a little but it works well with a fast CPU. If you do
this, be sure to also pass swaptables=no; paging pagetables sounds
neat, but it's never worked right.
