Dave, you seem to recall correctly ...

In fact, not only does gnokii work nicely over IR ... the 6210 has a proper
IR modem in it, capable of 28.8 over GSM !!

Caolan, for modem stuff you don't need gnokii at all for a 62xx ... (or a
7110 for that matter) as they have a hardware modem ...
For a cable, you can get one for about 20 quid or so for a basic cable over
the internet (not Nokia parts though ... awww .. )
