[ILUG] Linux PDA question

[ILUG] Linux PDA question

Couple of quickies:

Kate,
most of the units now come with 32MB Flash RAM, it does vary though,
depending on build date. Have a look at www.handhelds.org to see how to test
for it. Also, rumour has it (doesn't it always) that Compaq will be
releasing a 64MB version 2nd quarter. Along the lines of text entry, I
initially found it difficult to enter text, but with the character
recogniser, I can now enter text pretty quickly. Couple it with a Targus
foldaway keyboard, and I would be exceptionally happy!

Liam,

The deep sleep looks as if it will become functional between 2-3 weeks time.
There are also people looking at a 'dual booting' project on the 32MB flash
models.
Did you perform the ROM update?

JMHO

Phil
