That looks like it's hardware - Unreal Tournament certainly is quite
fast, though not as fast as I'd expect. But it's slow compared to other
machines (well 210 fps for that app). I just ran it on someone elses
machine (identical hardware) and he gets ~270fps. Weeeird.
