Okay I figured it out ifconfig.

So the question changes a bit.
All the network settings etc., are the same. The only
real difference apart from the OS seems to be the colour depth
of the display and the number of fonts available.
The Sun box has less of the fonts needed and has a deeper colour
depth, would this cause a display to come up soo much slower.
