[ILUG] LVM 0.9.1 and 2.4.1

Anyone tried this one successfully? I tried it on 2.4.1, and everything
seemed to work fine until I ran vgscan (it should make a map/db of all
physical volumes and make some config files). But all it does is to
completely overload the machine. I've left it running for about 14 hours
and the load average was at one stage up at 7.6..
I know it said that this can take a while.. But this is a bit much isn't
it?

Has anyone any experience with LVM-0.9.1-beta3 and 2.4.1? I don't want to
start downgrading to 2.4 if anyone has any heads-ups or any other tips..

Regards,
