beta3 still has problems. best thing to do is wait for that. Until
then (assuming 0.9.1beta4 works) back out the LVM0.8final -> v0.9
section from the 2.4.0-prerelease patch, and the 0.9 -> 0.9.1beta1
section of the 2.4.1 patch.

(or hang on cause i've done the 2.4.0pre bit already, and i have to
the other bits this weekend to test an NFS patch. I can send you the
diff to revert 2.4.2preX to 0.8final)

alternatively try your luck with LVM from CVS (www.sistina.com).

as you might gather 0.8final is pretty stable, apart from one or 2
rough issues.

- LVM fan, but not impressed with how the LVM guys release their
software. (they don't).
