I have the following settings in my /etc/X11/XF86Config
Section "Keyboard"
Protocol "Standard"
XkbRules "xfree86"
XkbModel "pc102"
XkbLayout "gb"
EndSection
but you may need different settings if you have those Winders keys and
want them to work.
If you're running xdm, either Control-Alt-BackSpace at the login
screen or run "/etc/init.d/xdm restart" as root to get the changes to
take effect.
