If you want to log the connections then install iptraf on the gateway and
set up logging. It needs to run interactively but you can bat you can use
vlack whwn you are not there :-) vlock -a is a miracle command :-)
So, set it up. As with 104 machines it generated 32 MBs of logs within
3 or 4 hours. But I didn't need this feture I just was curious. But you
can set up logrotate to create nw new log fles automatically ansd then
rsync the file toa seperate box which just collects the logs. But be aware
of the names. Because you can see more iptraff.1.gzs :-) Renma the always
with some paramteres like the current date or timestamp.
