do macs do windows filesharing? natively they use apple share. i think
netatalk handles that for linux. there used to also be something
called the columbia appletalk package, but i only used that on sunos.
netatalk on sunos did weird things to netstat - it would display appletalk
addresses (which are quite long) as well as ip ones.
