Recently I rewrote my master boot record because I wanted to get rid of lilo and use a floppy to boot instead. After trying to boot from the floppy however I am getting:
booting linux...
Error0x0x40
That may not be precisely correct but it was something like that. The main question is, how can I get back into Linux? I need to get a lilo prompt, perhaps I can get that from rescue mode?
BTW, I installed lilo on the linux boot partition as well so really what I want to do is boot from that, or try to re-create a boot floppy.
