The TV3 debate on the TV3 item this Sunday brings up the whole
issue of linux in the Irish press.
A number of the papers have tech sections, but i have seen very
little linux content.
It seems to me there are lots of newsworthy linux stories, certainly
enough to fill a weekly (maybe fortnightly) column. It is clear
from recent M$ stories that it now sees Linux as a serious
threat, I suspect Linux will need some friendly journalists to
cut through the FUD over the next few months.
Does anyone on the list have any contacts with journalists in
this line of business? It seems to me that journalists working
on this stuff would be more than glad of some good linux stories
+ there are plenty of us on the list who could vet stories and
pass on ideas.
