[ILUG] SSH Authentication problems

[ILUG] SSH Authentication problems

Simon Curtis fianna_simon at hotmail.com

Hello all,
I have a strange problem: A server supports connections from SSH1 and SSH2
clients. But if I connect with an SSH2 client, I am asked for my password
and when I type it in correctly, it is not accepted and just get asked for
the password again. If I tell my SSH client (puTTy) to connect using SSH1,
then there is no problem. I enter my password and I am logged in. Recently
the server has been upgraded to SSH-2.4.0 and I think this may be the
problem. Does something need to be done on the server side of things to
allow SSH2 logins?
Thanks,
Simon
