You can mark certain addresses as "not to be sent mail".

Interesting suggestion, however it ain't gonna happen. The upshot
would be that many people simply ignore messages with the "-non",
resulting in the ILUG list instantly becoming less valuable a resource
for Linux users.

The list manager is me. It would require a couple of hacks into
mailman and/or the MTA on lugh, neither of which I'm particularly
inclined to do, just to deal with the *tiny* problem of spam to
ilug at linux.ie.
I repeat, spam is a client-side issue; you have to deal with it
*yourself*.
