First extract the archive with tar xzvf filename.tar.gz then cd into the
directory it just created. There should be two files here like README and
INSTALL. Read both of these for instructions on how to install the driver.
Usually its simply ./configure make and (as root)make install. You'll probably
need to use printtool or printerdrake to setup the printer for use. If there
are instructions for Redhat, you can follow these as it should work in
Mandrake7.2. If not, the options in printerdrake are similar to printtool so
you could probably wing it.
Hope this helps,
Paul.

I just installed Mandrake 7.2 and I am trying to set up my printer. It's an

driver
so I downloaded it in
archive format. As I am new to Linux I was wondering if you could help out.
What directory do I extract the driver to? How do I set it up and install it?
This is probably basic stuff but I am totally green:)
Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance,
