Kevin,

Go to http://www.mcwords.com/downloads/paa/index.shtml and get e.g.
http://www.mcwords.com/downloads/paa/ch06.zip
The mailq.pl program from that .zip worked OK for me.

If you need more power (but more work to set up), try
http://www.logreport.org/

Regards,
Mark

Subject: [ILUG] Sendmail mailq Scripts ?

I am looking for a simple script that will look at the output of
mailq and tell me at a glance what senders/domains are
hoging the mailq. I often get times of the day where I
have thousands of mails queued and it is a pain to figure
out which customer is the offender.

And before you say it yes I should be running exim or qmail
but I have to live with it for the moment.

Infact any tips for managing high volume sendmail queues
are most welcome.

Regards,
Kevin
