cat >> /tmp/file < /tmp/file
This does cause a loop (so long as /tmp/file exists and is not a 0 length
file).
You can't redirect for append to &0, but you can redirect to &0...
cat 1>&0
Doesn't do much though - everything you type in still appears on screen.
Anyone any ideas on how to do this? My curiosity has been perked.
