  Ya - probably right.

  check your eeprom settings. (just type eeprom at prompt)
  input-device and output-device are probably set to 'ttya' (correctly, unless
  you've got a graphice card in the box - not on a E250 though).
  look at the other serial options from the eeprom output - there
  may be something there...

  (FYI: eeprom goes thru the PROM settings)

{ will prevent this behaviour. I'm sure Sun has some sort of FAQ or

  knowledgebase ?  Isn't that a mickysoft word ?
