[ILUG] NE2000 ISA config

[ILUG] NE2000 ISA config

mandrake will use a framebuffer driver only when the graphics system is VESA
2.0 compliant (I think...)

you could pick up something like an ati rage pro 8mb for 30quid which is
well supported.

Darragh
In the networking setup you should have an autoprobe option for the module
ne (your card) ... pci cards generally do what they're told, so that
explains the P3 ...

modprobe ne io=0x240 irq=10

should do the trick afterwards ... these are the only values you should need
to supply ...

If you're using the graphical install, it looks like mandrake can already
detect and use your card in some basic configuration ... (Probably VESA
framebuffer though) ...

Try and let the installer autodetect the card, it should be OK with that ...
