what did you enter for the subnet mask and your machines ip etc?

i typed what you said, and it toold me that eth0 had been found - I
rebooted, and tried to ping another machine didn't work.
Had a look ath that linuxconf yoke, and it agreed that eth0 wasn't
configured?
How do I get the config to stick?
