[ILUG] Newbie Ingres Question

Hi All,

Is it possible for user ingres to own a database but not own some of
the tables within the database ?

I'm trying to track down an error in a customer's sql query :

e.g . (as ingres) sql the_database
* continue
select * from the_table
\g

returns "table does not exist or you do not own the table"

and yet the owner of the_database is ingres.

Any pointers welcome please cc me as I am recieving batched ilug mail at
moment.
