hi again,
currently i have slackware 7.1 installed.
no its not dual booting with doze (Conor),
i can move the pointer about with effort
using the arrow keys on the keyboard
but cannot figure out how to get the
AfterStep menu on screen.
usually all you have to do is right-click
but that doesnt seem to work. neither
does trying to make the mouse less
sensitive (uncaring MS harware! seems
to lack any emotion whatsoever).
as for emulating 3 buttons, xf86config
advised against doing this. (the smart
thing nearly told me: ``i cant do that shane''
sounding suspiciously like hal from
2001: A Space Oddessy!).
i could switch to an older mouse but then
i'd lose the wheel function.
one final thought... could gpm be causing this
conflict?
any thoughts again are appreciated,
shane
