I'm SOO there. Have you looked at .NET? it's a lovely idea, bit of a 
behemoth and a bit "resistance is futile - we will assimilate you".

dotGNU ?

They both seem to have different priorities - Mono is emphasising a 
new C# compiler and is planning to implement the Common Language 
Runtime and class libraries, dotGNU is hoping to replace both the CLR 
platform AND the passport/hailstorm thing. XNS.org looks very 
interesting in that regard.
