balls... you're right.

i assumed the message was a fatal error, as messages from if-up are
nearly always fatal. (or rather if-up rarely produces output).

yep yep yep..

like i said "look on the firewall" that's how i have it setup already,
cause it worked fine for network restart - and that was enough for me.
