It's already rampant in Italy . . . . 4 or 5 SMS messages a day with stuff
like
"Dial this number for more information of the Panthenon . . . ."
"The Airport Taxi (reduced rate minibus thingy) leaves for Rome in 15
minutes from . . . "
etc.
The worst thing is that some of the networks cross
charge you for receipt of SMS messages & then flood
you with SPAM. The only solution over there is to
leave your phone off (if your phone is off they can't
tell if you're in an area of interest).
