[ILUG] SPAM - Arguments and strategy

[ILUG] SPAM - Arguments and strategy

Without being awakard here or anything, exactly what type or arguments are
going to be used to argue against spam, also he will probally point out that
business use it as a means of selling (Albeit crap business). He could cite
the example of VIAGRA (Yes we all have got the mails) their sales jumped
after suppliers started using spam.

OK so see it from their point of view. They don't want to rock the boat at
all as that means loosing votes (Although not really as their not elected but
their respective governments won't wanta p*** off the voters)

We should refine our arguments to a T. I am sure the members here and of the
commitie are competent but if anyone has arguements for or against I think
the should be colated etc etc.

Also the strategy behind this presentation should be discussed off the list
IMHO. You can bet they will do a bit of checking up before the vote. (If I
*WERE* really paranoid I would say we should use gpg or pgp for discussing a
matter like this. If I can help the usuall applies.

Will he really talk to the Comissioner? Will the commisionner listen and act,
what are the alternatives should the vote go throught. Are there any plan
B's?

If wanted can do legalish and techi bit on spam.

Yours
AJ
