Subject: [ILUG] samba user change
Okay I've been really silly, and that's the first thing I'll admit.
I have changed my username on one of our Linux boxes from "tim" to
"mcauleyt", to be more compatible with all our other systems, and to stop
confusing myself.
I did this by basically changing the entry in /etc/passwd.
This worked fine, except now I can't get access to the box through samba. It
keeps logging me in as nobody. My NT username is mcauleyt and before I had
an entry in smbusers pointing tim=mcauleyt. I have removed that.
Samba obviously is remembering something... how can I reset it?
Again, I know this was probably silly, but it seemed to work fine.
Help greatly appreciated.
