[ILUG] kernel time() +passing user variables

[ILUG] kernel time() +passing user variables

Hi,

1. if I want to use copy_to/from_user in a kernel module, where do the user
variables to be passed need to be defined? Can they be in a header file
that I include in the kernel module, and which is also included in the user
space program where the values of the variables are set?

2. is there a kernel module function call equivalent to the user space call
of time(NULL)? What's its header file?

Thanks..the help is appreciated.

Ollie.
