if i take out my NE2000 based 10/100 ethernet card i get a slew of
errors to the console. if i then slide in a compaq flash card (in a
pcmcia jacket) it will work, but the kernel will panic after the flash
card is unmounted and ejected.
in other words it looks like i need to restart my machine to swap around
pcmcia cards. this wasn't true with a bog standard redhat 6.2 system
handled the cards out of the box - i'm now using the latest 6.2 2.2.x
kernel - 2.2.19-6.2.7.
any ideas?
