[ILUG] cdrom and fuser.

Every  now and then, lately more now than then, Xmms hangs when playing mp3's 
from a CDROM, I can't restart xmms and if I try to unmount the cdrom I'm told 
the device is busy.

A fuser on /cdrom tells me ....
/cdrom/:            
No process references; use -v for the complete list

and a fuser -v

corcoraj at linux:~ > fuser -v /cdrom/

                     USER        PID ACCESS COMMAND
/cdrom/              root     kernel mount  /cdrom

I have left this over night and the only recourse is to reboot my machine,

Any suggestions or pointers.
