Hi,

I'm running SuSe 6.3 and kernel 2.4.6 ... I'm trying to backup an informix DB we have that is bigger than 2GB. So, the 2.4.x kernel is 64-bit so it can handle these files, right? But are the binaries I already have on the machine still only 32-bit, ie if I create a file >2GB and do a "ls -l" on it I get :-

/home# ls -l file.cpk
ls: file.cpk: Value too large for defined data type
/home#

Do I need to get recompiled bins/libs?
