I did the Redhat Certification course and exam at RedHat in Guildford at
the beginning of May, it's pretty comprehensive, it's certainly more
hands on that any of the other certification courses I've come across
and more practical. It's definitely a good idea, not just as insurance
against ever being out of a job, but your productivity will increase
too, the whole idea seems to be that a qualified RHCE does not just know
his/her stuff (we can all read documentation), but knows how to do
his/her work under the pressure of time constraints etc. and in
understanding the big picture knows how to do so better.
