At the risk of reopening the flame war on proprietry games, I have a question.
I run Windows as well as Linux at home - mostly because my favourite games
(Age of Empires, Red Alert etc) are not available for Linux. I recently
managed to break one of my game CDs, and this got me thinking about making
backup copies with the CD burner I bought recently.
Problem is the CD protection - I've found a program to help me make backup
copies under Windows, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience of
this under Linux? The HOWTO on CD Writing doesn't cover "getting around"
copy protection.
I will now insert the standard disclaimer about piracy being a bad thing,
and that this is purely for personal use, which has the advantage of
actually being the truth,
Thanks,
T.
