other useful bash¹ tips:
ctrl+a ctr+e - go to beginning/end of line
alt+f alt+b - go forward/back one word,
handy if you've typed a long command line, and see a mistake somewhere
near the beginning, just do ctrl+a and alt+f till you get close to
where you want to be.
ctrl+w/d - delete word behind/ahead
have a look at the readline section of the bash man page..

¹ key combos might derive from emacs, but i don't know cause i don't
use it.
