[ILUG] Mandrake 8.0 (Cooker) CDs

I know that silly ... ain't no /etc/HOSTNAME on my ver. of Mandrake tho ...

but I did create it as a symlink to /etc/hostname that was there just in case

still ... must try some of those other suggestions ... despite what "man 
hostname" says ...

PS. I did do a search for all occurences of locahost.localdomain on the 
system and changed them

that worked but didn't sound quite like the right way to do it  ...
